產(chǎn)地分布：

東北南部至廣東、西北、西南

形態(tài)特征：

同一樹上有紅白相間的花朵、花瓣或條紋，近于重瓣。在北京常見的碧桃有白碧桃（學(xué)名：Prunus persica f.albo-plena ）、紅花碧桃（學(xué)名：Prunus persica f. rubro-plena）;紫葉桃（學(xué)名：Prunus persica f.atropurea-plena ）。在這幾種桃中開花較早的當(dāng)屬白碧桃，樹的生長勢較強、較旺的也是白碧桃；即觀花又觀葉的為紫葉桃。

生長習(xí)性：

陽性，較耐寒，不耐水濕

園林用途：

觀花灌木

繁殖培育：

主要用嫁接和壓條繁殖。嫁接，采用切接法，用二年生實生毛桃苗作砧木。壓條，在花后5月下旬進行 ，秋季剪離盆栽。 栽培碧桃，不能水淹，要求通風(fēng)良好。肥料施用要科學(xué)，如氮肥過多會使枝葉徒長，不形成花芽。一般每年冬季施基肥1次，花前和6月前后各追肥1次。修剪也十分重要，夏季對生長旺盛的枝條進行摘心，冬季對枝條適當(dāng)短剪，促使多生花枝。結(jié)過密花枝，應(yīng)加疏剪。
